About Me
My name is Celine de Rooij. In January 2020 I moved from Holland to Switzerland for my husbands work. After having worked as a teacher and schoolleader for almost 20 years in Holland I decided to dedicate myself to my other passion, my love for dogs. I have had dogs all my life and trained with them for more then 15 years. At first just my own dogs but for the last 10 years also other dogs as a dogtrainer. Retriever work, Obedience, Puppy classes, but also helping dogs with behavioral problems.
I decided to start a doggy day care that provides care for dogs as I would like my dogs to receive. Professional, experienced, reliable, small scale, at home and with a lot of fun activities. Dogs should have fun, be happy and feel at home. To be able to provide this it is very important for me to meet the dogs and see if they fit into my group.
Dogs are social animals and it is very important they can interact with each other. A short meeting during a walk doesn't give them the chance to really interact or communicate with each other. For young dogs, but also insecure or fearful dogs it is essential that they learn to communicate with other dogs. It helps them to build confidence and correct behavior, so conflicts will be avoided. This should always happen under the supervision of an experienced dogtrainer.
My Dogs
My pack consists of 2 Labradors, all female. Tess and Lotti are fun, loving, very social with other dogs and have lots of energy. We go for long walks, bike rides and they enjoy playing in the garden or taking a swim in the pool. Both my dogs are from a working line so they love it when I train with them. Both Tess and Lotti are very good with other dogs, especially fearful or insecure dogs. Their calm and kind nature helps other dogs to build confidence and overcome their fears.
